We don’t want to sound like a broken record, but….

We love our volunteers!! They are such a vital part of what we do each and every day. From helping out in our administrative offices to providing a sense of comfort and a compassionate presence in our 11th Hour program, our volunteers can be found throughout TRU each day (and night!). In 2013, 372 volunteers dedicated 26,401 hours- this service is valued at $584,537 and equal to 13 full-time positions.

In honor of each one of our volunteers, this week’s Moment of Gratitude comes directly from our Manager of Volunteer Services, Karlene Campbell.

Lombardi’s Pizzeria
It is so secret that here at TRU we have a special place in our heart for our community. We are so incredibly appreciative to be in communities where there are strong local businesses that always go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of our patients.  This week, we want to thank one particular business owner, Tony Lombardi of Lombardi’s Pizzeria  in Broomfield. Even when his store was in the midst of major repairs, he made sure that our patient’s request for a pizza party came true! From all of us at TRU, thank you Tony!
